I am not sure its specifically HIM they did anything too, but rather, the God itself they messed with. Maybe the Nekokai came about as a result of the God’s death? Or perhaps they were responsible for his destruction? Hell for all we know the Nekokai might have been created by this god, only for them to betray their maker.
